Orhun Exchange Program

The Orhun Exchange Program promotes academic cooperation and student mobility among the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.

Program Purpose

The Orhun Exchange Program aims to strengthen cooperation in higher education between Türkiye and the member states of the Organization of Turkic States. The program encourages student mobility and contributes to the development of a shared academic understanding among participating institutions.

Within the scope of the program, incoming students are expected to gain academic and cultural experience, become familiar with different educational systems, and enhance their international academic interaction.

Scope of the Program

Students participating in the Orhun Exchange Program may study at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University for one or two semesters.

Students attend courses and continue their academic activities within the framework of:

• Approval of their home university
• Inter-institutional agreements
• The Learning Agreement

The program only covers study mobility. Internship mobility is not included within the scope of the program.

Application and Selection Process

The application and selection procedures for incoming students are conducted by the students’ home universities.

The process is carried out as follows:

• Students apply through the selection process at their home university.
• Nominated students are officially nominated to our university.
• The submitted application documents are evaluated by our university.
• Eligible students receive their official acceptance.

Language of Instruction and Academic Process

Incoming students are subject to the language of instruction and academic regulations determined by the relevant department or program.

• Courses are selected within the framework of the Learning Agreement.
• Attendance requirements apply to all courses.
• Assessment and evaluation procedures follow the academic regulations of our university.
• At the end of the semester, students receive an official transcript documenting their academic performance.

Meals, Accommodation and Transportation

Incoming students are provided with free lunch at the university during their exchange period.

Accommodation, transportation and all other living expenses are the responsibility of the students.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University does not provide any additional financial or in-kind support for these expenses.

Visa and Legal Procedures

Students are responsible for completing all necessary legal procedures including:

• Visa applications
• Residence permit procedures
• Health insurance arrangements

Students must ensure that they comply with all legal requirements during their stay in Türkiye.

Coordination and Contact

All academic and administrative processes related to incoming students under the Orhun Exchange Program are coordinated by the International Programs Office.

Students may contact the relevant offices for academic or administrative support during their exchange period.

Required Documents

Students who are nominated to our university under the Orhun Exchange Program must submit the following documents in order to complete their application and registration process.

All documents must be submitted within the announced deadlines after the nomination by the home university.

Incomplete or late submissions may result in the rejection of the application or delays in the registration process.
